Fire authorities in Riverside County, where the Fairview Fire was burning, revealed the civilian fatalities Monday evening. There were no other details provided. The fire was located south of Hemet, a city of around 89,000 inhabitants. The fire had grown to 2,000 acres and was only 5% controlled by 10:30 p.m., according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection/Riverside County Fire Department.
